Jose Mourinho admits Paul Pogba needs to show much more consistency in his performances and has challenged the midfielder to maintain the form that saw him nearly single-handedly dismantle Manchester City last week.
However, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola then claimed a week ago that Pogba had been offered to his club in January by agent Mino Raiola.
They are eight points adrift of the Premier League record for points in a season, Chelsea's 95 in 2004-05, and can become the first team to break the 100-point barrier, with a total of 102 possible from their remaining five matches.
While they missed out narrowly on that particular record, here are some of the best Opta numbers from City's special Premier League season.
The hosts threw everything at West Brom in the closing stages, but were unable to find a breakthrough that would have delayed City's title confirmation until at least Wednesday when United take on Bournemouth.
Pogba though will certainly be disappointed to be taken off following his heroics against City but Jose would arguably be more disappointed given his call for more consistency to be shown by the player.

"I trust in my work, that is for sure".
As sweet as such a triumph would have been - United's 3-2 win, after being 2-0 down, denied their neighbours the title that day - the emphasis placed on being crowned champions by defeating their bitter rivals might just have overshadowed the true magnitude of City's third domestic championship in six years. You have to be consistent at every level, not just the performance level.
"I think we were deservedly punished".
"We are a team that has beaten every other team in the Premier League - beaten every one of the top six".
