Jason Witten Predicts Former Cowboys Teammate Dez Bryant Will Sign with Packers

"I think he's going to end up going to the Green Bay Packers".

Witten called the Packers a "great fit" for Bryant.

Witten retired from the NFL and joined ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast as the analyst, replacing Jon Gruden.

Now, he is already transitioning into his new role as a media personality.

"I think Dez is certainly going to have some great opportunities", Witten said. "Dez is a smart football player and so he understands how important the quarterback position is".

One of his former teammates who is now getting paid to share his football opinions weighed in with an interesting potential landing spot. I mean, I think that's a great spot for him. I still believe Dez can highpoint the football as good as any receiver in the National Football League.

With the Packers, Bryant wouldn't need to be a Pro Bowler.

Last season with the Cowboys, Bryant ended up catching 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns.

Look at the Eagles, who return their entire core, added a veteran receiver and used their top draft pick on a player who will, at best, be the team's No. 2 tight end and, at best, the team's fifth or sixth receiving option on offense.

The Dallas Cowboys have made several moves this offseason to reshape their roster including a few cuts, headlined by the release of star wide receiver Dez Bryant. The Packers would be able to spread the field with that trio, along with Graham down the seam and Ty Montgomery wheeling out of the backfield.

Playing with a future hall of famer in Aaron Rodgers can turn any WR's career around.

There's no doubt Bryant has seen a decline in recent years, but that's not to say his tank is completely empty. Green Bay did bring in three rookie wide receivers in the 2018 NFL Draft, but none of them are a sure thing. Dez identified Green Bay as a place he does NOT want to go, because of all the history that he has in Green Bay.
