Netanyahu Shuts Down CBS When They Ask If He'd Talk to Hamas: Would You Meet With Al-Qaeda?

In an interview with CBS News on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Hamas for "pushing civilians, women, children into the line of fire with the view of getting casualties".

"It's time to tell Palestinians: Abandon your fantasy of destroying Israel", Netanyahu told VICE founder Shane Smith, a day after the United States opened its embassy in Jerusalem and 60 Palestinian rioters were killed on the Gaza border.

He noted that a Hamas spokesman said that 50 of the 60 people killed there on Monday were Hamas members, something that corresponded with Israel's numbers.

"We curse the massacre carried out by Israeli security forces encouraged by this step on the Palestinians participating in peaceful demonstrations", the statement declared. "We try to minimize casualties".

"Did your army go too far?"

"As long as they seek our destruction, what am I going to talk about?"

Glor drew parallels with the planned summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

"I ask only because, against all odds, the US and North Korea seem to be on the verge of meeting", Glor responded, "so sometimes meetings that seem unimaginable end up happening".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs "once again points out to the well-known and principled position of Serbia towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, such as supporting a peaceful and sustainable two-state solution, without prejudging the future status of Jerusalem, while respecting all relevant United Nations resolutions", it is added. "But that's when you have leaders who've decided that they abandon the goal of war and destruction and annihilating the other side", Netanyahu said.
