Apple's special event Gather Round will take place at Steve Jobs Theatre, California.
So, what will be the name of the new iPhones to be launched on September 12? Nobody knows for sure.
The so-called cheap iPhone XC in red, white and blue. Out of the three, two are hinted to have OLEDs, whereas the one may have an LCD screen. This new premium iPhones from the Apple will carry an aluminum chassis.
Apple's annual unveiling of the latest iPhone is upon us once again. If history is any indication, iPhone Xs pre-orders will open up on Friday, September 14 ahead of a release on September 21.
But the iPhone is far from the only product Apple will look to update during what is likely to be a busy event. The 512GB version of the Note 9 costs $1,250. The price of the budget iPhone model is likely to be similar to that of iPhone 8. It will also have the gesture-based feature control system that can be seen on the iPhone X. But, that gave us a fair idea of what an iPhone in gold color would look like.
The gold color will definitely give a new and fresh look to the iPhones.
Like the current iPhone X, the iPhone XS is also expected to have a stainless steel frame. Apple may end up delaying the iPhone Xr altogether. Therefore, it won't be much bigger than the iPhone 8. Right off the bat, the 6.1-inch iPhone will incorporate an LCD display as opposed to an OLED panel.
The low-priced iPhone will be coming to the market with the 6.1-inch screen. Another rumor puts its size at 157.2 x 77.1 mm. But at present, we don't have the details.
"Don't expect massively disruptive new features but smart pricing repositioning around an enhanced iPhone X, enabling Apple to increase the overall average selling price of its smartphone lineup", said Forrester analyst Thomas Husson. The photos from the dual-lens camera are likely to be 12 MP.
Apple's live event begins on Wednesday at 6pm United Kingdom time.
We can also expect fast charging, as Apple will probably include a fast charger in the box. Suffice it to say, you will hopefully be able to pick up the iPhone of your choice, no matter the model, in just a few weeks. Per reports, both devices will boast 4GB of RAM, a nice bump from the 3GB of RAM on last year's models. Among "suggested" names have been "iPhone X Plus", "iPhone XI" and "iPhone X2", but it's clear that the names are still a mystery.
The new iPhones are also expected to come with a dual SIM card slot.
Other hardware announcements that could potentially be made on Wednesday include a cheaper MacBook, new iPad Pro models with Face ID and no Home button, and the first new Mac mini in four years. Apple may finally announce when the gadget will hit stores. Quartz, meanwhile, reported that the iPhone X tops out at $1,455.23 (Dh5,346) in Hungary.
September is now the traditional time for iPhone updates, and this year will be no different.
