Whoopi Goldberg Defends Liam Neeson: 'This Man Is Not' a Bigot

08 Февраля 2019

From Whoopi Goldberg to John Barnes, Liam isn't racist.

The logic of Rodriguez's argument has caused a lot of debate though.

Lily Allen dedicated a song slamming racists to Liam Neeson at her concert on Wednesday.

"It's all f***in' bullsh**t". "Dude, have you watched "Widows?' His tongue was so far down Viola Davis" throat".

The Fast & Furious star continued, "You can't call him a racist ever".

However, as others have mentioned online, just because someone enjoys a sexual altercation with the opposite race, it doesn't mean they're not racist.

"I'll tell you a story, this is true", the Cold Pursuit actor said. "But it was this primal hatred, I guess, that really, really shocked me when I eventually came down to earth and I saw what I was doing". I'm just really exhausted, and I wish that if we were going to have "difficult conversations about race", it wouldn't come from the place of trying to protect a white man from his own awful statements. After that, there were some nights I went out deliberately into black areas in the city looking to be set upon so that I could unleash physical violence, and I did it for four or five times until I caught myself on.

Movie studio Lionsgate declined to comment but a source familiar with the matter said that a red carpet, where movie stars pose for photos and speak with reporters, would be inappropriate. "I asked, did she know who it was? No".

Banville, who publishes his crime novels under the pen name Benjamin Black, told the Press Association that Neeson is a "decent man" who was "ashamed" of his thoughts. Now, moviegoers are threatening to boycott Men In Black International unless he is taken out of it. "So that I could [pause] kill him".

For damage control, Neeson made an appearance on Good Morning America and gave a statement about his comments. "'What color were they?' She said it was a black person".

"I don't know if I'm coming back".

"The View" host Sunny Hostin didn't mince words, either, when she said hours after the "GMA" interview, "What I can't understand is how you would go out and seek a random person of the same race to harm because that for me feels like a modern-day lynching".

Terry Crews is finding himself under fire after defending Liam Neeson. "I don't care how good of an actor you are". "I'm not a racist", he told "GMA's" Robin Roberts. "I was trying to show honor to stand up for my dear friend in this bad medieval fashion".
