ANTHEM Launch Trailer Tries Its Best to Get the Hype Going

10 February 2019

We discussed Anthem's Cataclysm events (and other endgame things) with executive producer Mark Darrah earlier this month.

BioWare also went into details on the endgame content on Anthem, in a brand new trailer and blog post.

Strongholds represent some of the longest and most hard challenges in Anthem, and players will need to assemble a team to tackle them.

In Anthem, up to four players explore and battle in a risky, mysterious place populated by great characters and a unique BioWare story.

Ea and Bioware will be continuously supporting Anthem with new content, features, and quality-of-life fixes.

BioWare is also planning daily, weekly and monthly challenges along with world events happening in freeplay, for those who wish to play the game at their leisure instead of taking up a legendary contract. The highest difficulty level is Hard before reaching level 30, but three levels of Grand Master difficulty are unlocked after hitting that threshold. There are six total, ranging from easy to Grand Master 3. It remains to be seen just how engaging endgame will be (and if the servers can sustain it) but we'll get a better idea once the game arrives on February 15th for EA/Origin Access members, and February 22nd for everyone else. These longer missions will have you fighting some of the deadliest enemies in the world deep into unknown territory. Each Act should be themed and further expand the lore, story, mechanics, loot, and pretty much every moving part of the game itself. Different objectives net you crafting blueprints and materials to create the powerful equipment described in blueprints.

Cataclysms are world-changing events that bring extreme weather, unsafe enemies, and mysteries to the game. Legendary contracts are larger, multi-part missions with bigger rewards. Contracts will allow players to increase their reputation with different factions, granting them access to crafting blueprints. It's rather vague, but you can see these in the images embedded above.
