Mayweather Has Confirmed He's Organised Tenshin Nasukawa's Next Fight

Ruiz, a former junior featherweight world titleholder, who had just won a lopsided decision in a featherweight bout January 19 on the Manny Pacquiao-Adrien Broner undercard, quickly accepted an offer to fill in and moved up another weight division with the promise to give Davis a serious fight in the Showtime-televised main event. Plus without hardly any training whatsoever, Mayweather battered Tenshin for the duration of the short fight.

"I'm proud of Tank, and he's gonna stay active", Mayweather said.

In December Mayweather travelled to Tokyo as he took on Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition bout earning himself £7m. I favored Davis to win, but a draw is fair since it was a great fight and could possibly headline a Mayweather Promotions card in Sam's Town in Las Vegas, Nevada. "He's been telling the media he's going to knock me out, so I hope we get an action packed fight".

Davis, unbeaten with a record of 20-0 with 19 knockouts, came in at 130.2 pounds in his first appearance on the scale, but returned to weigh in under the 130-pound limit at 129.8.

The bout was contested at 147 pounds, far north of the weight Nasukawa typically fights at.

On New Years Eve, Mayweather returned to the ring by facing Nasukawa in a three-round exhibition but it didn't last long.

Remarkably it's not the first time Mayweather has opted to wear the knee high boots that look like he's about to star in a western movie. Mayweather needed only a little over two minutes to lay waste to Nasukawa, who suffered three knockdowns and left the ring in tears after the fight.

"Probably so, most likely", Mayweather said. I want him to focus more on raising his [7-month-old] daughter and working hard in the gym, surpassing me. "I got about $80M on the table worth of exhibitions".
